Metal Airsoft Guns : A Concise Guide

What are metal airsoft guns? Simply put, they are guns that are replicated after real firearms. They can project plastic pellets instead of real ammunition. All around the world, thousands of people enjoy these objects in different ways, mainly for recreational uses, although they are sometimes used professionally as a way to train those who will be using real firearms in their line of work.

Airsoft weapons can be operated manually or electrically. Instead of bullets, they project small plastic pellets, or BBs. To launch these, the gun uses either a gas, such as “Green Gas, ” or propane, a spring or an electric motor. However, the projectile is ultimately propelled by a piston that compresses a pocket of air.

The pellets that are placed inside the weapon are called pellets, but are more commonly known as “BBs.” The reasons for the invention of replicated weaponry was the Japanese’s in the 1980s. They began to produce faux firearms to salve the public’s interest in these types of weapons, but it was not until the 1990s that the sport became popular in North America.

Models aren’t the only perfectly replicated aspect of these weapons. A Magazine, or the cartridge in which the ammunition for the weapon is stored and locked into the gun, is also recreated. Although they contain plastic instead of bullets, they are still dead on copies. Types include the Standard Magazine, the Medium Capacity (Mid-Cap), High Capacity (High-Cap), Drum/Box Magazine, and Real Capacity, which can hold just as many BBs as a real magazine could hold bullets.

Big manufacturers of the popular devices include Crosman, Celcius Technology, Aftermath, Mad Bull, Systemic Engineering and Western Arms. Also made along with the weapons themselves are replications of magazines, or the cartridges in which bullets are usually held, but this case, the ammunition are pellets. There are Standard, Medium Capacity, High Capacity, Drum/Box Magazine and Real Capacity magazines available, not unlike their real counterparts.

There are many different types and models that can be possessed. All of the weapons are replicas that mimic the real thing. The real difference comes from what is in the inside, or the type of power that propels the arms to actually shoot. For this there are several different models.

Most include a rail or mount. There are also accessories that can be added to your firearms, like flashlights, scopes and lasers. It helps to wear a thick layer of clothing, coverings over the eyes and gloves when handling the equipment. Although replicas, it’s still better to be safe than sorry where flying objects traveling at high speeds are concerned.

Lastly, it is important to keep your weapon clean. Keep it wiped clean from dirt. Lubricate the mechanics in the device to guard from corrosion and abrasion. Use high quality BBs, or pellets, in your gun. Poor quality pellets can jam up your mechanisms and cause your weapon to function at a much lower performance level.

Why Everyone is Playing Airsoft

Airsoft guns can look a little intimidating because they look like the real thing. But this is also one reason that the sport has become so popular, and even rivals the popularity of paintball. Players can choose their favorite assault rifle in airsoft which resembles the real one that they see in the movies or have actually used in combat in the military. Some of the most common assault rifles in airsoft are the AK 47, M16, and the sniper rifles that every player loves to have. It is important to note that there should be an orange tip on the end of the barrel of every airsoft rifle and this should not be tampered with. Doing so could land you in prison for breaking the law.

So how fast is the airsoft sport catching on across the world? The game is growing in popularity here in the United States of America, but it has been a big sport for a long time in countries like China, Japan, and especially Russia. Because of the popularity in these other countries they have provided us with some of the best quality airsoft the guns of available in the marketplace today. Some of the most sought after rifles for this sport are found in Japan, but are also sold here in the United States. The ammunition used in this airsoft sport is a 6MM BB. It may not sound like a lot, but when it is traveling over 450 feet per second it can leave a mark.

When it comes to different kinds of game play, airsoft has as much variety as you can possibly think of. Games like capture the flag, and sharp shooter games have been very popular. You can search for teams in your area that are wanting to play other teams to make it even more fun. Just make sure that everyone knows the rules before you start and that the team you are playing against is honest and fair.

Airsoft players will usually go all out and wear real military fatigues for their clothing. Even players who play the part of snipers will camouflage themselves with the terrain of the land to try and blend in and not be noticed by the players on the other side. In most cases with snipers, you will have to have a spotter, and if your spotter gets shot you can no longer use your sniper rifle but only your sidearm.

You might think that a small plastic BB will not hurt you when it hits your body, especially since it only weighs 1/4 g. But you have to keep in mind that this little projectile is traveling at speeds of over 500 feet per second in some cases. Even at a distance of 200 feet you can find yourself being hit. This is why wearing protective clothing and a thick material will help you from experiencing much pain.

Even though you are just having fun playing a game with these replica airsoft rifles, you should try to be as careful as possible. This is why every player should wear safety goggles and even a mask is possible to protect their faces from being hurt and any BBs from going inside someone’s mouth causing more serious damage. After all,no sport is that much fun when you are in a lot of pain.

Airsoft Or Paintball – Airsoft Is Lame, Paintball Is Wicked!

Paintball and airsoft are both shooter simulations that have hit the mainstream. The world has embraced paintball as a very fun and enjoyable sport, that deserves attention. Airsoft on the other hand, has completely fallen by the wayside. And it’s easy to see why. Paintball is better than airsoft in every respect other than price, so why would anyone want to waste their time with airsoft?

Airsoft can make grown men cry. Believe me, I have seen it happen. Airsoft bb’s are quite small and they are fired at a very fast velocity. What this means, is that force is exerted to a very small area at a very fast speed. You better have loads of protective clothing if you want to survive in airsoft The fact is, paintballs already hurt as it is, but not enough to deter us from playing. The pain in airsoft is ridiculous. There are times when I would rather be punched in the nose, then be hit by an airsoft bb. It’s that bad, seriously. If you have played airsoft before, then you know what I’m talking about. Some people like to describe paintball to a punch, and airsoft to a bee sting. I like to think of paintball as a punch too, but then I compare an airsoft bb to a bloody knife.

Who wants to play airsoft? And the answer is nearly nobody. It’s becoming increasingly more, and more hard to find an airsoft game nowadays. Why is this the case? The general public must have realized that paintball is a much better sport to play. The people have spoken, and they have chosen paintball. Which makes it incredibly easy to find a game. You will not be so lucky with airsoft. It’s very hard to find people to play with.

It is also not surprising that paintball products are a lot more awesome than airsoft merchandise. Paintball guns are significantly better than airsoft rifles. A decent paintball gun can fire about 25 paintballs per second. A decent airsoft gun does not exist! I dare any airsoft to prove otherwise. All airoft guns fall apart after about a years worth of use.

There is really no competition between airsoft and paintball. It should come as no surprise to any of us that paintball is the more commonly accepted extreme sport. Some of us wish that airsoft was just a little better, so that we could have an alternative to paintball every once in awhile. This is simply not the case. Airsoft may be cheaper, but it is a lame excuse of a sport. Paintball is worth the extra bucks, and will rock your world.

Why You Need To Purchase Long Range Walkie Talkies

Why not purchase a set long range walkie talkies? Many people have seriously considered it. Some do it now. Most only briefly considered taking that approach, then continued to something else. Some didn’t get started with it because they had little idea of where to start. Others got scared off and discouraged by the large number of unknown factors.

Let’s just hold on tight here now. We looked at a lot of negatives from the outset of this, all the reasons why not. Let’s consider three reasons for you to purchase long range walkie talkies before your next adventure outdoors.

Firstly, for the positive side, let me point out that purchasing and using a set of high quality walkie talkies when you are outside can help your family stay in touch with one another when out enjoying a day in the forest. O.K., I hear your objection, that you may have tried walkie talkies in the past that had poor range and reception. It’s a valid objection, I agree. However, allow me to provide for your attention the fact that you get what you pay for. The next time you buy a walkie talkie headset or handheld unit, spend the money to buy a more expensive brand. The cheap brands typically do not work as well as advertised.

Second, you should consider the fact that a nominal investment in small hand-held radios may help one of your loved ones to keep from getting lost in the wilderness. Little people are notorious for wandering off, and in the mountains this can be fatal.. In addition to that, your little ones will have a great time playing with the radios…it makes them feel like spies or army men. Plus, the big kids (read adults) will enjoy them just as much, walkie talkies bring out the kid in all of us.

Third, you will get the ability to effectively track you kids in the neighborhood. Which means that you spend much less time concerned about their safety and whereabouts because you can just raise them on the walkie. And in addition to that, you can use these handheld devices in the place of cell phones and save money…no monthly subscription needed!

Within all the above info lies a pretty good list of reasons in support of purchasing long range walkie talkies. What is your opinion?

There are many vendors that sell high quality radios on the Internet and in your city. Just remember to take your time, do your research and purchase quality!
