The specification of the laptop screen should be included in the documentation which came with the laptop. If however you can’t find this and there is no other information to be found, you can visit a website which will be able to detect the resolution for you.

If you want to determine if the screen is CCFL or LED it’s a simple task to cross-reference the part number. Otherwise you can remove the screen and check the number of wires on the connector cable. A CCFL screen has two thin wires and a white plug.
