How Using An Encrypted Proxy is a Good Method to Protect Your Internet Privacy

It is critical to be careful today when you are online. Not only do you have ID theft to be concerned about but you also have to worry about invasion of privacy and Internet censorship. With as much time as people spend surfing these days, companies and individuals are creating new ways to gather information, and in some cases personal data, on web surfers. Luckily, there are tools available that show you how to protect yourself online with an anonymous proxy.

The way that this is accomplished is through an IP address. An IP address is your Internet identity; this is how others know where you are. These addresses can be looked up quickly on a number of internet sites today. By doing that, they find out where you are as well as other info, just not your name. The best way to avoid that while surfing is to spoof your IP address.

A proxy server program is the safest and quickest way to provide yourself some protection by masking your IP address. These anonymous servers have multiple IPs that are associated with each other and are set up to randomly change every thirty minutes. To keep the IP from being blocked and looking like an anonymous proxy, they hide the URL of the IP addresses with other site names.

The web is wonderful for shopping, banking, and networking with family, but one should not assume that every site has encryption protection set up. The majority of shopping and banking sites do, but some do not. One of the biggest offenders is social websites with their little or non-existent security measures in place. That is a perfect venue for hackers to get a hold of your IP and then see where you go and see what information they can steal, and that includes confidential information that they could use to steal your life.

Privacy invasion is a big issue for many. It is normal for your ISP to track your Internet activity, legally it has to. However, search engines also like to track your Internet usage for their own purposes. Although it may improve your online experience, when the search engine builds a profile for you, it also keeps track of what you are doing. That is why it knows which ads to place when you are surfing certain sites. A proxy masking IPs prevents this as your profile is a mix of many surfers thus protecting your privacy.

Internet censorship is a program with a lot of countries, most notably Iran and China. But this is also prevalent in a lesser form no matter where you are. Those open hookups you find in libraries, airports, and motels also carry some type of censorship. They can control what you can view when in those spots and prohibit certain sites. Most times it is for a good reason but it can go overboard. With an encrypted proxy, they are unable to control what you access from their location.

Websites or forums also use your IP to ban you if they feel like, whether they have a good reason or not. This can be a huge issue for those that need to surf specific places for business. One of the reasons for blocking is because you are a competitor and they found out. How they found out is by using the IP address and doing a reverse look up. By doing that, they were able to search for sites known to be hosted on the same server your IP address is on; that is how they check out competitors and ban them. Hiding your IP will get you around those restrictions.

To protect yourself online using an anonymous proxy server is easy today. It will give you the peace of mind to know that your privacy is not being invaded and nothing is censored from you. Using an encrypted proxy will not only mask your IP address from websites but it will encrypt your online surfing to keep you protected and safe.

Don’t be the victim of an invasion of privacy! Secure your Internet identity by using an Anonymous Proxy server to hide your IP address. Find out more about how proxy servers can protect you.

Power Tools And Safety

Power tools have largely taken over from hand tools all around the world, because they allow individuals to get more work done in an alloted space of time. Power tools work far more quickly than hand tools and without the operative having to expend a lot of energy having to turn a handle or push a saw.

However, the improved productivity that power tools deliver comes at a price: 1] you need to pay for the electricity that drives the equipment and 2] there is an increased danger to the operative’s health and safety. The price of the electricity should be more than easily covered by the increased productivity, but health and safety is often overlooked until it is too late.

People appear to not comprehend the potential dangers of an inexperienced person using a power tool. For instance, a slip with a hand saw, normally means an ugly joint, but a slip with a power saw can cost a finger; a miss whilst hammering a nail in can cost a bruised finger or an ugly dent, but a slip with a nail gun can be like having a bullet in the leg.

This is the reason why insurance companies have made it imperative for companies employing trades people to send their workers on health and safety courses. Claims from inexpert workers was getting ridiculous as inexpert trades people abandonned their old hand tool in favour of the powered option.

It caused a great deal of fuss in the Eighties and Nineties in the building industry among employers and workers alike to have to send people on courses about how to use power tools. In Britain, employers were not allowed to let a carpenter use a rotary saw, for example, unless he or she could prove that they had been taught to use one. Most people thought that the health and safety people had gone too far.

But there were fewer accidents; less time off work due to injury and not so many claims against the insurance firms.

There was huge opposition in our building firm from the workforce, when we declared that nobody could sign out a power tool unless he/she had a current safety certificate to prove training in the use of that particular piece of equipment.

We also had a joinery shop, where traditionally every carpenter could go to make anything he needed. Then this policy came in and just one carpenter out of forty was permitted to use the tools. All of a sudden there was a rush to get safety certificates. The new regulations had hurt people’s pride.

They felt that they were being told that they did not know their trade, but when they were disqualified from using power tools, they were made to look like inexperienced apprentices again. So there was a rush to acquire a certificate and power tool companies would send a safety specialist to the workshop to train all the relevant tradesmen in the use of their power tools free of charge and hand out certificates.

Then our company decided to get their ISO 9000 certificate and power tools had to be given certificates of inspection as well. So now we had to employ someone to look after the power tools.

Just tradesmen with certificates of competence could sign out a power tool and a power tool could only be signed out if it had a certificate to prove that it had been passed ’safe to use’ within the last two months. All power tools had to have a certificate of reliability attached to it, a set of safety rules and a pair of safety glasses. That covered the firm from accusations of negligence.

That was 15-20 years ago in the construction industry in the UK. I am not saying all this as a history lesson, but more to point out that people can go to a store and purchase or hire very dangerous power tools without having to establish competence. Contractors at work have to establish that they and the tools are up to the job, but the public does not.

I am not recommending a new layer of bureaucracy, but I do want to make individuals aware of the risk of not knowing how to use power tools properly and without even the most basic safety equipment.

Do not use power tools without safety spectacles is the first rule. Shield your eyes from splinters and flying debris at all costs. A professional would, so so ought you.

Income Taxes, Privacy Regulations and the Failure to Protect Abducted Children

Surprisingly, Washington Federal treasury officials found an odd connection connecting tax returns and investigations of missing children. They scrutinized more than 1,700 of these matters and found an unusual pattern. At least 1/3 of these children had been declared on tax returns by family members that are suspects for their kidnap. Many child abduction cases are still left up in the air and the children still gone.

A Senator and missing children’s advocate are working to contact law enforcement agencies. They suggested that tax returns of suspected abductors contain data that might show the way to the suspects. They also recommended that law enforcement agencies should be authorized to examine the tax return information of these “suspects”. They believe that these would assist solve the cases across the U.S.

The Senator argued that the state should not be strict in regards with keeping restricted tax return records. As they contain data that could likely lead to the solution of these cases they should be made accessible. The Senator is a former Hennepin County lawyer who describes overprotecting tax information data as making “no sense”. If the state would shield privacy, then it should also exhaust all feasible means in trying to find where these children are.

Exposing tax information to law enforcers would generate more tribulations. Of the countless privacy laws, those that center around taxes are one of the strongest in the US. Infringing on the privacy of tax information data would also invite other compelling hazards. Those of health care information and other government services are good examples.

The children’s advocate lost a son named Jacob. He was kidnapped near their St. Joseph home in 1989 at age 11. He is still missing. The missing child advocate said that they don’t “care about jurisdictional boundaries” and all they think about as parents is “getting their child back”. The missing child advocate said this in a declaration in the course of the congressional panel hearing in support of the Senators bill.

The senator noted that some situations such as overdue student loans would allow the IRS to reveal tax information data. This is controlled as a list of exceptions in the tax code with regard to privacy. She further added that “there’s no reason why missing children shouldn’t be added to the list”. From the foregoing, it is obvious that there is a need to strike a balance between defending privacy rights and locating missing children.

While normally we write about using an anonymous proxy to protect your Internet privacy, child safety is more important than privacy. Nothing is more important than defending kids.

Really, Do People Always Need To Know Where You Are All Times

A new “geolocation information generator” has been launched on the internet. Its creator, Yiannis Kakavas, has given it the interesting name of Creepy. Many privacy rights advocates have raised their worries about the probable impact of this application to individual privacy. What can this new application do and why should it cause such concern?

Creepy was created by Kakavas for Linux or Windows. The third package that is still in development is for Mac OS X. Essentially, this app pinpoints a user’s location by making use of the user’s data in social networking services. It can do this by gathering bits of the user’s data that is uploaded to the network and putting together bits of information. The software has just been launched but is already performing well.

Creepy has an in-built search utility to find any individual in the internet. All that the user has to do is to record the Twitter or Flickr username of that individual then hit the “Geolocate Target” button. Creepy will then download all photos or tweets that the individual has published or posted. From each of the downloaded materials, Creepy will be precise with the user’s location at the time the information was published.

The software then gathers every piece of information existing to make up a meaningful array of data. After processing, a map showing the user’s various locations is offered. Taken one by one, these data locations do not tell any significant information, but when gathered together as a whole, it will really tell much about the target. The user’s “publication” history is revealed, comprising his or her most frequented places or hang outs, the area around his or her address, and even his or her office.

The program was completed by Kakavas in only three months. He was able to get into and make use of publicly-available libraries like osmgpsmap, pyexif2, and tweepy. In his mind, Kakavas believes that he made available something that will make people value their privacy. He would like users to be more aware of the dangers of careless sharing of their individual information online.

He explains that it is not that complicated to aggregate small pieces of data in order to create larger, more significant information. Ironically, it would be too late for users to realize that it would have been better if they did not share those bits of information at all. Some of these are home addresses, places of work, the places they hang out most often when they are not at home, and many others.

He also said that Creepy is for social engineers to have a better means of information gathering. Creepy can be used to execute penetration testing, particularly for security analysts. Information that is gathered can be used for various reasons in later time.

Using a software program such as Creepy pin points where you are all the time.. The opposite of this is to use an encrypted proxy to hide your IP address which masks your actual location.

5 Suggestions For Keeping Your Car Looking Marvelous

Most people love their cars or are at least very proud of them. Therefore, it makes sense to keep your car looking smart by maintaining the bodywork, frequently known as the coachwork, and cleaning it regularly. In this piece we will take a look at five tips for keeping your vehicle looking good.

#1 – Scratches: scratches are the second worst thing for automobile owners. The worst are crashes, but people normally take care of those fairly swiftly. A driver has to treat scratches in the same manner. The reason why scratches are such an adversary is because they expose the bare metal and permit the ingress of water which will start corrosion.

There could be a slight scratch on the wing and you could imagine that it is not significant for months, but all the time the coachwork is corroding away. One day, you will wake up to blistered paintwork and ugly brown stains. Always treat scratches as soon as you see them, even if it is just to put some clear nail varnish on them until you can have them treated in the correct manner.

#2 – Elements: your car has been built to withstand the elements, but it is best to shield it from them whenever possible. Therefore, garage your car if you can, or build a car port for it and if you cannot do that, get a car cover. The wind is constantly sand and grit blasting the paintwork and the sun is constantly trying to bleach it. In fact, none of the elements are helpful for paintwork and nor is acidic bird droppings, so do not park under a tree.

#3 – Protection: in order to supply protection for your car whilst it is outside its garage, it is essential to give it a healthy coat of wax polish to filter the sun’s rays out and protect it from rain and wind-borne debris. This protective shell of wax will be blasted and washed off , so it is necessary to replace it every week or two, depending on the weather where you are. If you live near the sea, a protective coat of wax is even more vital because salt water will corrode metal far faster than fresh water.

#4 – Condition: always be on the look out for issues with your car’s paintwork. Be particularly watchful around joints, welds, folds, holes and bolts or screws. The paintwork is frequently disturbed at these points and that can lead to water ingress and corrosion.

#5 – Care: detail your car regularly. Either do it yourself or have it done. It is better to do it yourself, but if you have it done, tell them that you want to be made informed of any, even the most minor, issues with the paintwork.

If you follow these tips, your car will look a lot better for a lot longer and it will also maintain its value for longer, so in other words, maintaining your car will pay for itself in the long term.

How Browser Cookies Have A Negative Effect On Your PC Privacy and Anonymity

A cookie is text file that a browser sends to a web server when a consumer visits a website. This is stored on the customer’s computer the first time he or she accesses the site. It is also known as a web cookie, browser cookie, or HTTP cookie. Once stored, the browser uses this file to navigate the website more effortlessly. Some of its uses are for log ins, themes, language settings, shopping cart contents and more features that use text data.

There are cookies that are routinely removed once the browser is terminated. These are cookies without expiration dates. There are also those that are saved in the computer and are removed only after a specified date. These are cookies with expiration dates. Although a cookie itself does not hold information, it can help a website do its job more efficiently.

Most cookies are stored in the browser’s cookie file. These contain the name of the server, its duration and the cookie value. The cookie value is a randomly created number that makes the cookie unique. This cookie value is used by the server that created the cookie to remember the user when he or she comes back to the site, or to navigate through pages.

A cookie is not an executable file, meaning that it cannot copy itself. It is distinctive from a virus, but it can be a danger to privacy in some situations. Because a browser has a means that sets and reads cookies, a cookie can be used as spyware. The most usual cookie that can function like this is the “zombie cookie”. A cookie that is used as spyware can track computer activity. That is why it is up to the user if he or she will or will not agree to cookies.

A cookie itself is safe on a computer. Its task is just to help the website to identify the user and remember his or her information. For instance, a website may ask the user to input his or her name the first time he or she visits the site. The cookie then tells the server who the user is every time he or she visits the website. A user should not question why his or her name would appear on the “welcome” page the next time he or she returns to the same site.

Privacy issues to users are the most common hazard with cookies. The cookie stores any personal information that a user supplies to a website. This can make the user susceptible to computer hacking or identity theft. This is the reason why some users would not accept cookies or would want to erase cookies kept in their computers.

Cookies can be erased in a variety of ways, depending on the user’s browser. However, there are three general steps involved in doing such an action:

First, on the browser, go to “Tools”.

Second, select “Internet Options” or “Options”.

Third, under the “General” tab, choose “Delete Cookies”. This may call for a combination of other options. The “Browsing History” may be used where cookies may be deleted along with temporary files. The user can decide to delete all items or merely the cookies.

Click here for more information on deleting cookies.

It’s not just about cookies! Online privacy can be compromised by a number of issues. One problem is IP addresses. Change your IP address by using an encrypted Proxy system to mask your IP address and protect your Internet identity. For more information about using a Private Proxy please read our blog.

Lego Keyrings

Lego keyrings are a bright notion from the Lego Group and Lego UK. Lego keyrings are meant to be amusing, yet convenient items for the Lego enthusiast both young and old. Some of the Lego keyrings can be hard to acquire and are encouraging collectors to start a collection.

You can buy Lego keyrings on websites or at almost any Lego shop. There are dozens of different kinds ranging from simple coloured building blocks to Lego Star Wars characters and they are not expensive either.

Lego has been very clever with their keyrings because they are handy little gifts for all ages. They are fun items, they do not cost more than a few of pounds or dollars and the numbers manufactured of some of them are actually quite small ensuring a healthy secondary market for collectors on Internet auction sites such as eBay.

At the moment there are about four dozen different Lego keyrings varying from a straightforward, traditional, red Lego building block with eight stubs to Darth Vader from the Lego Star Wars figures assortment.

If you want to start a collection of Lego keyrings, go to one of the Lego retailers on the Net to see what is available and then go to eBay to find out what has already come and gone. You may be amazed at how a keyring that was purchased last year for a few pounds has trebled in value by now.

The most well-liked of the Lego keyrings are the small figurines. There are policemen, firemen, teachers, postmen, nurses, GP’s, spacemen, Batman, Lego Star Wars figures, Lego Harry Potter figures. All kinds, in fact.

Some of the Lego keyrings are just sold in sets and some are sold at a cheaper price if bought in a set. There is a huge second market on eBay for the new Lego characters and the older ones too, so if you are interested in starting a new hobby buying and selling Lego figures, have a look in a Lego shop on the Net for special offers and discounted deals.

If on the other hand, you are not too interested in the Lego keyrings but would still like to be in on the action, you could check out the secondary market in Lego figures. Lego figures can be bought separately, but they normally come in a package as with the Lego Star Wars figures or the Harry Potter sets.

One suggestion is that these figures are normally relatively costly, whereas the keyrings are not, so you could purchase the Lego keyring of the figure you would like and cut the keyring part off. This is a fantastic manner of building up your population of Lego characters at a fraction of the standard cost and the only difference is that you cannot remove the arms and legs from the keyring figures like you can from the more expensive other sort.

Why would you like to take the arms and legs off anyway? They can only be lost or broken by removing them. No, go for the Lego keyrings instead.

Web-Based Behavioral Monitoring Is Monitoring Everything You Do On The World Wide Web – Should You Care

Online tracking is used to assemble very important information from web users. Data gathered could be used by companies that do target advertising and effective marketing strategies could surely enhance revenues of these companies. It used to be that data gathering was done through surveys of readers’ preferences and applications. Online tracking was born as advanced technology developed and flourished. Today, marketing firms collect data simply by just monitoring a user’s online “movements”.

As a new tool that was evolving, online data collection from users seemed harmless. Privacy issues started to come out as more and more internet marketing companies adopted such practices. Keeping one’s online privacy on the web became less and less possible. A user’s online security is left to chance, making him or her easy “target” for internet advertising companies. Claims of unauthorized use of user internet data steadily became ordinary and critics questioned if such methods are legal. Others argue that such actions are a clear abuse of individual privacy.

User data that goes online holds significant information with huge marketing potentials. As a whole, this contains not only the user’s data but also that of his or her friends, linkages, locations, and influences. With just some simple manipulations, this could reveal not only what the individual user wants but also those of his or her acquaintances. In general, there are many possibilities of abusing this data.

User information is collected by placing cookies on the computers of users who visit the website. The use of cookies is common. In one report, it is said that out of the 100 most popular websites examined, more than 50 percent used cookies. Cookies make internet use more convenient, especially for those sites that are frequently visited by the user. Cookies help in saving individual user preferences so he or she does not have to go through a repetitive process.

Companies that use behavioral marketing should self-regulate to avoid claims of privacy violation. The Federal Trade Commission recommends that this should be put into law. Websites should have full disclosure of the company’s behavioral targeting strategies. Under Federal Trade Commission Act Section 5(a), there were some website owners who were prosecuted due to violations.

If you are at all worried about your online identity or your Internet privacy, you should think about using an Anonymous Proxy to defend yourself from Internet behavioral tracking. Try our Private Proxy for free and start defending yourself today!

What Is Sleep Apnea?

I wouldn?t bother so much having my bed partner lie on the couch in the living room snoring, as I would if he suffered from sleep apnea, a more serious and harmful disorder. This breathing disorder during sleep that is followed by intermittent and shallow breathing can be treated easily provided it is found out in time and not mistaken for normal snoring.

Hence it is best to understand what sleep apnea and its indications are, so we can help a loved one that is suffering from the disorder of sleep apnea.

You have to know that untreated sleep apnea could hamper you having good sleep at night and make you feel tired, fatigued, mentally exhausted and least productive on the next day. The breathing pauses could last anywhere between 10 to 20 seconds, occur up to 100 times on the same night. This would reduce the quantity of the deep natural sleep that is necessary for the body to function properly physically and mentally during the daytime.

Most of us understand the implications of not having a sound night?s sleep and this is no exception for a person with sleep apnea. He/she would suffer from chronic daytime tiredness, loss of concentration and slow reflexes that could make one have higher risks for accidents.

In addition the long-term results of sleep apnea are grave health disorders like diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, and weight gain.

Look out for symptoms of sleep apnea like loud and constant snoring, choking, gasping, snorting in sleep and long interruptions in breathing. In addition observe if he/she feels weary and sleepy during the day even after long hours of sleep at night.

In addition, watch out for dry mouth or sore throat on waking up, morning headaches, restiveness, insomnia, grumpiness, irritability or even depression. Waking up feeling restless, forgetful, with a lack of concentration power and frequent trips to the bathroom at night could be other symptoms.

On observing these symptoms consult a specialist. He/she will prescribe an overnight stay in a hospital to observe and diagnose sleep apnea. It is best to know that just snoring or some of these indications does not lead to a diagnosis of sleep apnea.

Snoring could be just ordinary and it does not interfere with the quality and amount of sleep and make one feel chronically tired, sleepy or lack of concentration, all of which could lead to accidents. However the onus of diagnosing rests with the doctor.

It is a good idea to observe that sleep apnea could be of various types. In an episode of obstructive sleep apnea, the soft tissues on the back of the throat relax and obstruct oxygen from entering the lungs during sleep and it results in a brief interruption of sleep.

However, central sleep apnea is less well-known but more serious and takes place when the brain fails to signal the breath regulating muscles to breathe and this could make one aware than one has woken up. The most serious of sleep apneas is the amalgamation of both these apnea known as complex sleep apnea.

Believe me, sleep apnea could be readily discovered in the early stages with your bed partner?s help. A sleep diary would help him/her record your snoring, gasping, choking, or other unusual sounds. In addition a video recording of the patient would help you note signs of sleep apnea.

Owen Jones, the author of this article, writes on many subjects, but is now concerned with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. If you want to know more, please visit our website at Sleep Apnea Surgery Techniques

Why Must We Have To Decide Between Our Kids And Bus Drivers

Bus drivers would have to give up their personal privacy in order to guarantee safety of their passengers. They should disclose mental and physical health problems to their employer. In addition, they also have to consent to random drug testing and list the medications they are on. These were the recommendations written by Judge Bruce Fraser in the fatality investigation report on the death of a small child in 2007.

The nine-year-old girl was killed and 3 other people had been hurt including her sister, in a school bus collision on October 18, 2007. The vehicle driven by Louise Rogers swung over into a parked gravel truck then crashed into a power pole. All four are studying at the Mountain View Academy but they rode in the bus of the Third Academy at the time.

There was no indication that Ms. Rogers did it on purpose, as Judge Fraser wrote within his report. Authorities found no reason why the bus driver drifted onto the shoulder where the truck was broken down. Investigations revealed that the driver had recently been hospitalized for psychological health troubles. She was taking sleeping pills and antidepressants. Tests revealed that the level of these medicines were minimal in her system.

The design of the school bus concerned might have also aggravated the accident. Judge Fraser wrote that the bus was designed so that the passenger section extends past the cab or engine section. This adds to the danger of the passengers since their bodies are exposed outside the motor of the vehicle, thus escalating the danger. This is a design mistake that is often found in smaller buses which has to be given consideration.

Judge Fraser’s suggestions were taken positively by bus companies. He added more suggestions to the ones he previously mentioned. A report should be submitted by those bus drivers who have or go on leave due to psychological or physical problems. This certification has to be issued by a medical professional, stating therein whether or not the person is fit to resume work.

There are proposals that urge bus drivers not to make use of hand-held devices. This consists of, but not restricted to, phones and musical devices while on duty, especially while driving. News has spread that there is already a draft of a new legislation banning all hand-held devices behind the wheel.

Because of what happened, all schools ought to establish stricter standards when hiring school bus drivers. There must be a method to determine the mental health of possible drivers. It is incredibly important to ascertain whether these problems will affect their driving. More significantly, there must be assurance of the safety of kids under their charge while on the bus.

We try to shield our children. We let them out of our sight at school. But we should not let them out of our sight online. Keep them secure by installing an Anonymous Proxy to hide where they live.
